Position Summary:

Healthcare Laundry Systems is seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join their team.  We are located in Wheeling and service hospitals and clinics all across the Chicagoland area.  Under the supervision of the Controller, this position is responsible for general accounting duties. Great starter position for recent college grad with BS/BA – Accounting.

This position will focus on:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Prepares daily cash application in Great Plains using bank records.

·       Prepares daily/monthly cash reconciliation under supervision of Controller.

·       Prepare inventory reports and balance inventory activity.

·       Prepare late fee reports for billing department.

·       Prepare and distribute collection letters.

·       Prepare and organize journal entry support detail.

·       Learn to navigate and use Great Plains Accounting System.

·       Learn to navigate and use internal billing systems.

·       Assist with special projects and general accounting duties as needed.

·       Learn back-up procedures for other accounting desks (A/P, Payroll, and Billing) to support vacations, leaves, etc.

Reporting Relationship:

·       Position reports to the Controller.

Requirements Education: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.

Experience: 

·       0-3 years of experience.

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:

·       Knowledge of Great Plains/ADP would be helpful.

·       Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007. ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·       CPA or CPA candidate would be a big plus.
